Richard Justice from the Houston Chronicle sports page puts the topic to bed for the evening. I've been reading the comments from self-proclaimed football fans on various newspaper websites, and it's obvious that the people who are happiest about the latest development involving the Big One and the Little Nine are Baylor fans, most teasips, and a large number of people who think they know college football but really don't. The kind of people who think inviting refugees from CUSA and the MWC will offset the loss of Colorado and Nebraska... hell, it'd even make the conference better since everyone knows Nebraska was never any good.
The New Big Ten (or whatever the fuck it'll be called) is rapidly on its way to being rated below the Pac-10, the SEC, the ACC, the Big Ten, and maybe the Big East. TAMU's chances of ever being invited to join a prestige conference in the future are significantly diminished, as they should be. A few more years of getting their asses kicked by TU and OU are in store, and when all the facts are in, may well be deserved.
