School Days

It's no surprise that MAGA Monkeys desperately want to end public education in the United States since their future political security will require a voting population that's ignorant and uninformed. Without millions of semi-educated white yahoos, there would never have been a so-called precedent (sic) Donald Duhmp.

Patriot Day

The anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001 is now known as Patriot Day to memorialize the event. It's unfortunate that the Waste of Shit and his MAGA cult followers are now a more serious threat to American freedom and democracy than Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda terrorists ever were.

Q NOTES # K+4: Meaningful Numbers and Imagery

The interesting number for today is 34, which is the number of MAGA Monkeys who are both current members of Congress and also actively communicated via text messages with Mark Meadows about overturning the 2020 election and other acts of seditious conspiracy. The number increases to 35 if Clearance's old lady, Ginni Thomas, is included as a gang member.

When I read articles like the one at the link, I usually imagine the MAGA Monkey party as the rotting corpse of some large unidentifiable mammal, stinking to high heaven and swarming with maggots.

Added 7:06 PM: The Waste of Excrement used his cheesy Twitter knockoff to say something roughly along these lines: America needs a superhero, therefore he'll fill that need by making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Intelligent people are rolling their eyes and snickering that a fat, lazy slug like WOE could imagine himself to be super or heroic.

As a youngster I was raised to believe every word in the Bible was literally true, and I was into my college years when I began having doubts about things I was taught to accept as absolute truth. Lately I've decided the only certain proof that a supreme being actually exists would be this: Every time six or more MAGA Monkeys assembled to plot or commit evil, the earth beneath them would open, swallow them all, then close again. That would prove America truly has been blessed with supernatural protection.

Q NOTES # 785: More Mumbling

Some people are tired of thinking about how life would be better if Donny Dump Lumps hadn't been allowed to plant Gorsucks, Boof, and the Handmaid in their current USSC seats, and how outrageous it is that Clearance Sale is still taking up space anywhere he sits. Their attention has drifted back to AG Merrick Garland and his failure thus far to indict Dump Lumps. They should remember the indictment is less important now than developing a case that produces a guilty verdict. Texas AG Kenny Paxton is living proof that indictments in themselves are sort of meaningless.

Right-wing "judicial originalists" like Slick Sammy Alito believe that issues before the courts should be decided via thought processes compatible with the thinking of privileged white men who wrote the U.S. Constitution. This suggests their preference for the norms, values and standards of the late 19th century, and essentially reversing many social changes that have occurred since FDR's New Deal.

What this country needs is firmer separation of church and state, and a lot less dominionist influence in politics at every level.

I stopped voting for Republican candidates long ago, and the last one I even considered voting for was Johnny (Ace) McCain when he ran against G.W. Bush for the (R) nomination in 2000. I voted for Ace in the open primary as an anti-GWB measure. By the time Ace ran again (2008), I was burned out on him. New information is spilling out today that isn't good for his legacy. C'est la vie, say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell.

The top story in today's edition of the Coronavirus Updates email newsletter I receive from Washington Post every day: This week, the U.S. will finally pass the 1,000,000 fatalities due to COVID milestone, with another potential surge headed our way thanks to the newest variants.  I wonder how many of the 1,000,000 dead were Trumplican voters.

Just go away, please.

Here's the deal: Donald Doohickey ruined the (R) Party by transforming it into the Trumplican Party. After four years of nothing but chaos and destruction, the Trumplicans are now focused on ruining the whole United States. Somehow, the Sunday morning political news shows are trying to prove that Joe will, or at least should, get blamed for this mess.

There's absolutely nothing to be gained from watching network news shows. Liberal media, my ass.

More reports being published which confirm there was in fact an organized conspiracy to throw out the 2020 election. Surely there must be laws against that.

Added 1:26 PM Sunday 24 October: What happened in Doohickey's command center at the Willard Hotel in early January must be a damned felony. And if it isn't, why the fuck not?

Any good ones left?

There's an excellent editorial in USA Today this morning, and it should be studied by every (R) politician, and most (R) voters.

The biggest mistake in U.S. history was installing Donny Strunz as so-called precedent (sic) while the (R)s controlled Congress. Strunz is the kind of asshole who would be a serious problem even under tight restraint, but when both the House and Senate decided he was a normal president and either ignored or applauded his evil, incompetence, and corruption for two full years, they were just asking for it.

The Strunz may be the worst spoiled brat ever born. Every time he gets away with a crime, his immediate thought is to see if he can get away with a worse one on his next try. The lessons he learned in 2017-2018 were all the wrong ones.

During my lifetime, there have been good Republicans. Unfortunately, it seems like there have been fewer of them every year since Nixon was elected in 1968. At this point, I can't name a single (R) in Congress that I'd describe as a good person, much less a good (R). The worst ones are the lowest of the lowest scum on earth. Over the next year, I'll find out if I've misjudged any of them.

This is an excerpt taken from a recent Strunz tweet:
"I thought I was doing something very good for our Country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 Leaders. It is big, grand, on hundreds of acres, next to MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, has tremendous ballrooms & meeting rooms..."
He was TRYING TO BE GOOD, but we wouldn't let him (always playing the victim card). Maybe a lot of voters who never heard the word "emolument" before will begin to think about it now.

Dictatorship

If Donny Guano is free to ignore any law whenever he wants to, is basically wiping his ass on the Constitution, and every (R) in Congress willingly ignores him, we've already taken a giant step toward dictatorship. At the moment, every (D) in Congress seems willing to play by the established rules, but there currently aren't enough (D)s in the Senate to make following the rules a workable plan.

His Taxes

We should find out fairly quickly whether the orange piss stain is obligated to comply with any legal requirements, or if he's the one person in the country for whom there are no rules and restrictions whatsoever.

Cat Fight !!

Remember back in 2017, when Steve Bannon was wielding so much clout in the White House that many of us were referring to him as the real president? Well, as it turns out (according to Donnie Diapers), Bannon was so inconsequential, it's almost like he never really existed.

The Stench

There are too many ways 10K is different from every other U.S. president to even try listing them all. One way he's different from the presidents whose terms I've personally lived through is this: Every single thing that 10K or any member of his administration does has the stink of political corruption all over it. Even their [technically] legal activities always look illegal.

The big lesson we should be learning from 10K's first eleven months as the so-called precedent (sic) is that we need to re-evaluate most of the traditional thinking on what constitutes acceptable presidential conduct.

At Hullabaloo, Digby writes that the GOP is 10K's party now, so get used to the stench.

Unity

Donny Dotard sold out to the Russians to win an election. That makes him a stinking shit bucket who's in no position to belittle or impugn the patriotism of anyone. He should just shut up about honoring America and go fuck himself instead.

Unsafe and Unsound

After the events in Spain, Donny Covfefe is making it clear that he wants to protect the United States the way Hitler protected Germany.

Steve Bannon always looks like he dripped out of a pig's ass, then went to the office without cleaning up. But his lack of hygiene isn't the reason he's apparently out of work now. Did he resign or was he fired? Does it matter? One possibility is that Donny Covfefe discovered he doesn't need a liaison anymore; he can just communicate directly with the Nazis and other white supremacy gangs.

One rumor has it that Bannon was cut loose because he tended to hog the spotlight. My feeling since February has been that if Bannon left, it would be because Covfefe was jealous of the media attention he attracted. I was certain Tony the Mooch wouldn't last long for the same reason. There can only be one star in Donny's reality show.

It appears that the Donny Covfefe Coalition is narrowing down to uneducated white people, rural shit-kickers, Nazis, the KKK, and religious lunatics from the Jerry Falwell / Pat Robertson school.

General Discomfort

Hullabaloo: Digby explains why I shouldn't get too excited over the possibility that John Kelly will be able to put a leash on the Pussydent (sic).

The simple reality is that Donny Turnip believes he wrote the fucking book on leadership. Remember that campaign speech when he said HE ALONE could do the things needed to Make America Great Again? I do.

Bottom line: In Turnip's world, John Kelly is a goddamned hired hand. And Turnip is never gonna be the guy who's taking directions from a hired hand, or being coached for success, or seeking the counsel of a wise mentor, or hoping to acquire effective management skills.

If I was betting, I'd bet that John Kelly will be in his new job until the first time Donny Turnip sees someone on Fox News declaring that Kelly is bringing much-needed order and discipline to Donny's White House.

Tony the Mooch was doomed because in less than a week, he claimed the media spotlight for himself by being more outrageous than Donny. In this administration, which is comparable to a lousy daytime TV reality show, there can only be one star, and that star will always be Donny Two Scoops.

Embarrassing Shortcomings

To use an appropriate analogy, if the anticipated meeting between Putin and Donnie Two Scoops was a gunfight, Donnie would be armed with a cap pistol and Putin would be commanding a battery of field artillery. Donnie's trainers are coaching him up with a few short sentences they hope he'll remember when it's his turn to speak.

The way things stand now, the next time Donnie can get off the plane and find his goddamned limo without help, the talking heads on cable news shows will be saying, "At that moment, Donald Trump became president."

Too many big words and long sentences

Why we can't have nice things - Parts II and III

At the risk of repeating the obvious, it's hard to see anything good for America happening while Donnie Dick Drip, the Cheese Prince, and Chinless Wonder are making the most important decisions about what does or doesn't get done. This three-legged stool needs one leg sawed off in 2018, and sawing off all three would be better.

Added 3:00 PM: Looking at the big picture, I'm starting to believe the best of the rotten choices available (i.e., the least worst option) would be for the Senate to attempt a total repeal of the ACA, then see where things stand after the smoke clears and the dust settles.

Added 12:16 AM 29 June: The Chinless Wonder is making a strong bid for a spot on my list of Ten Worst People in the World.

A Family Affair

Crooks and Liars offers an opinion on Donnie Two Scoops and his attempt to put his daughter and her rotten husband in charge of international affairs.

The number of people Donnie can trust is narrowing down by the hour, so it may not be long until the whole executive branch is effectively being run by that fat fucker's stinking spawn. C&L imagines how the GOP would be reacting if a Democratic president was pulling this shit.

The 22-year cycle

I've been contemplating the current Donnie Two Scoops national catastrophe and decided there's an identifiable cycle: Every 22 years, the Republican Party uses an election to make itself (and America) significantly worse than it already is. The cycle began in 1972, when Nixon won his second term, and his corruption resulted in the Watergate investigation.

The next big GOP shift in the wrong direction occurred 22 years later in the 1994 mid-term elections, when the so-called Gingrich Revolution enabled the party to gain majorities in Congress. The Clinton impeachment resulted, and the seeds of the tea party movement were planted.

The GOP, already rotten to the core, went completely apeshit in 2016, putting incompetent game show host Donnie Two Scoops in the White House with the help of the Russians. In less than 22 weeks, we're already seeing the preliminary hearings in the Trump/Russia investigation on TV.

For the sake of comparison, Trump/Russia = Nixon/Watergate x 10,000 and Clinton/Lewinsky x 10,000,000.

Making Nixon look good.

Mitch moolah

Washington Monthly discusses something that's starting to be obvious: Mitch McConnell and Vladimir Putin seem to have a similar agenda for America.

Some people believe that Russian money went into Republican PACs last year. That might explain a lot of things.

Who? Me?

Added 11:50 PM Saturday 27 May: While we're at it, let's add this corruption to all the other stinking rotten corruption that's swamping the country while Don Corholio and the rest of the Republican Party work together to make him richer (from Think Progress).

Over There

The so-called precedent (sic) has plenty to whine about today. Of course, there's that new special counsel, Robert Mueller, and Don Cornholio wants us all to understand that this is bad, bad, bad for America, because investigating his corruption shows that the country is divided. And that's bad.

To make matters worse, Don Cornholio is being forced to go on a nine-day tour of foreign countries, many of which don't have a Trump hotel, golf club, or resort where he can hang out. And that's bad. And even worse, he'll have to be in meetings with foreign leaders who are much, much smarter than he is, and just like every other time he meets a foreigner, something will probably go wrong and people will be laughing at him again.

Added 11:22 AM Friday 19 May: Daily Kos has a discussion of the things other world leaders can do to keep Don Cornholio interested and reduce the number of embarrassing moments.

The whole world's against me...
