Some Ironic Associated Pressure

Several years ago, I cancelled my subscription to the local newspaper because virtually all articles covering national or state politics that were printed originated at Associated Press (AP) and were slanted favorably toward conservative Republican politicians and policies. Now that I rely on internet sources for political news coverage, I see fewer AP stories, but those I skim still handle MAGA coverage gently, if not adoringly.

Pussydent 50% 47 (adjusted for co-star Elmo Mush) Donkey Wrecked 'Em enjoys fondling himself both physically and psychologically. He recently pleasured himself psychologically by ordering the re-naming of the Gulf of Mexico. He might have chosen "Trump Golf Gulf" - but went with "Gulf of America" instead (pretending to be a USA-loving patriot).

Ironically, Associated Press decided to stick with Gulf of Mexico in their reporting, which resulted in AP becoming outcasts in terms of White House media access despite nearly a decade of TLC in their featured stories about MAGA and the Waste of Turds.

Some Not So Simple Sentences

Years ago, when I was reaching the age of voting eligibility and trying to get interested in politics, the New York Times was considered the ultimate bastion of liberalism, at least by hardcore right-wing Republicans like my old man. Calling the NYT a haven for pinko commie sympathizers was a popular stereotype for years.

I never read the New York Times because it's only available online behind a subscription paywall, so I don't know exactly when the newspaper became a hard copy of Fox News in terms of its editorial bias.

Recently I've seen discussion on some liberal blogs blaming the anti-Biden NYT coverage on an asshole named A.G. Sulzberger, the NYT publisher and chairman of NYT Company. This guy is said to have a huge bug up his ass because NYT reporters don't have the same degree of White House access with Joe that they had with the Waste of Shit. Constant criticism of Biden and his administration are the penalty for restrictions on access.

Q NOTES # 847: STFU, Sunday Edition

Donnie Duhmp's superiority complex is laughable considering he's one of the most inferior living creatures on earth, but he apparently believes that he's inherently above the law.

It doesn't help matters when an airhead like NBC's Chuck Todd uses his TV time to discuss whether or not the country can handle the criminal prosecution of a former precedent (sic). Americans are notoriously suggestible, and we don't need assholes like Todd pushing the stupid notion that penalizing Duhmp will be intolerable for them.

Greg Abutt is a weak, worthless political hack trying to sell the idea that his loss to Beto O'Rourke in November would be catastrophic for America. As usual, he's wrong again. Being rid of Abutt wouldn't even be bad for Texas, much less the whole country.

Q NOTES # 842: Get Real

The so-called mainstream media organizations are commercial enterprises that exist primarily to sell advertising and generate profits. Serving the public by providing thorough, accurate reporting about critically important current affairs is far less important to them than keeping their audience of viewers/readers hooked as consumers of an entertaining product.

As the House select J6 committee works it way through witnesses and evidence, the popular angle among media sources has been debating whether charging Donnie Duhmp with crimes would be more or less damaging to America than just ignoring the felonies completely. Which is worse, condoning seditious conspiracies or offending goobers and yahoos who still think he was sent to them by god?

Get real, for fuck's sake.

The failure of the national media to confront the ugly reality of Donnie Duhmp from 2015 until now has been a major reason we're in the deep, dark trap we're struggling to escape. It's like they're refusing to stop repeating their mistakes.

It's now clear the Supreme Court is ruled by five religious fanatics (Sammy, Clearance, Gorsucks, Boof and the Handmaid) who are preparing to use their judicial authority to remake the United States as a dominionist theocracy. Congress needs to get those creeps under control before THEY get everybody under THEIR control.

Just go away, please.

Here's the deal: Donald Doohickey ruined the (R) Party by transforming it into the Trumplican Party. After four years of nothing but chaos and destruction, the Trumplicans are now focused on ruining the whole United States. Somehow, the Sunday morning political news shows are trying to prove that Joe will, or at least should, get blamed for this mess.

There's absolutely nothing to be gained from watching network news shows. Liberal media, my ass.

More reports being published which confirm there was in fact an organized conspiracy to throw out the 2020 election. Surely there must be laws against that.

Added 1:26 PM Sunday 24 October: What happened in Doohickey's command center at the Willard Hotel in early January must be a damned felony. And if it isn't, why the fuck not?

GOP Advice

The New York Times always has room on its opinion page for right-wing viewpoints, and the conservative op-eds always have the same advice: If (D)s want to win the hearts and minds of the very few (R) voters who might be slightly fed up with Donny Strunz, they need to nominate their most conservative candidate, the one that might be called a moderate (R) if such creatures existed.

Actually, the (D)s need to make sure that people who sat out the 2016 election or voted for Jill Stein are so goddamned mad that they'll line up to vote for any (D) over Strunz.

Hann-job

Fox News personalities like Sean Hannity have one primary duty: to polish turds. Sean believes he's so talented that he can polish a turd with enough finesse to turn it into a diamond.

Today, Hann-Job tried to massage some fresh Giuliani droppings into diamonds, but when all was said and done, it was just another steaming pile of the usual Rudy Poot.

Show Biz

I didn't catch on when I first read that Donny Guano was criticizing Fox News for not supporting him enough (meaning 100 percent of the time). Thanks to some stuff I've read on the Internet, it's now clear that this cat fight is more phony TV reality show horse manure, initiated by Guano's team to stir up excitement among Fox News viewers who support Donny (all of them), and provide Fox News a rare opportunity to seem like a real news organization for a few hours. In Covfefe World, this is classified as a win/win proposition.

I should have figured it out right off the bat.

What should we do? What should we do?

Listen, you media workers. I don't need you to report that Donnie Stink Eye is clinically psychotic if that's too difficult to handle. What I require is that you report he's behaving almost exactly like a person who's clinically psychotic. There are plenty of experts who've gone on record with descriptions like that, even without the opportunity for formal observation in a treatment facility.

What's unacceptable is your struggle to rationalize this shit circus by covering Donnie the way 44 real presidents who served before the Age of Covfefe were covered. He isn't in their class and never will be; in fact, he makes the worst of them look a little better in comparison.

Too many people are being conditioned to believe that what's happening is just politics as usual, same as always. So get busy and tell it straight. I shouldn't need to watch Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC to find straight talk.

Crazier than a shithouse rat

Donnie Hump is angry because Bernie Sanders got so much favorable attention on Fox News? Worth reading this item at AlterNet for a clear picture of what insanity looks like.

Added 4:06 PM Wednesday: There are arguments among Democrats today over the wisdom of Democratic candidates appearing on Fox News (town hall meetings, debates, etc). Some observers apparently watched Bernie Sanders get a little applause and believe that now, everybody should be on Fox News.

Bernie is not a Democrat, making him irrelevant as a 2020 nominee as far as I'm concerned. Here's another news bulletin: There aren't ten devoted followers of the orange piss stain in the whole country who are going to vote for Bernie, even if he's on Fox News every hour from now until Thanksgiving. Bernie will take more votes from the eventual Democratic nominee than he'll ever take from Hump (see 2016).

If Democrats think they can win in 2020 by converting disciples of Donnie (people who depend on Fox News for information), they're nuts. They'll win if their ticket and their platform produce energy, excitement and enthusiasm among voters, especially
  • those voters who sat out the 2016 election,
  • Bernie supporters who ended up voting for Hump, and
  • voters who picked Jill Stein over Hillary.
They may be able to switch some Republicans, but none who are locked into Fox News propaganda.

President Hannity?

Having Sean Hannity as the main mouthpiece for Donnie Zeppo is bad. Having Zeppo as the main mouthpiece for Hannity is worse. Much, much worse.

PS added 3:50 PM: Donnie Zeppo should be subpoenaed to testify under oath before the House Oversight Committee re: his accusation that he personally refused Michael Cohen's request for a pardon.

Not just no, but hell no

Good news today. Fox News will not be televising any of the Democratic Party primary debates in 2020. I believe the interests of the United States are served any time Fox News is locked out of some newsworthy event.

No soup for you, motherfuckers.

Shep

Let's be honest here: Shepard Smith has a firm grasp of the obvious, but at a shit hole like Fox News, that makes him a diamond in a toxic waste dump.

Hand Jobs

So-called precedent (sic) Donny Phatazz watches Fox News several hours each day, and considers Sean Handjob an important confidential advisor. This is one of many reasons things are so fucked up these days.

Wisconsin Cheese Prince Pablo Ryan wants everyone to celebrate their new wealth, a product of his Tax Freedom for Billionaires plan.

Meaningless Noise

Personally, I don't understand why large media organizations like the New York Times insist on providing a forum for Donnie Numb Nuts. The major media outlets need to impose a 180-day blackout on the fat motherfucker, and give the county some needed rest from his insane mumbling. Let's see how he likes being ignored by everyone except Fox News.

More on this disgrace from Kos. And Digby.

So, maybe Donnie Numb Nuts says this shit because he's slipping into dementia, with a brain that's turning into rancid cottage cheese. What does that tell us about the intelligence of Trump-ettes who treat this senile buffoon's gibberish like it's the word of god?

BTW: Marco Rubio should just STFU. He had his chance to do the right thing, and he pussied out like he always does.

Lock the doors

What's going on in Washington D.C. this week is a perfect example of what happens when ignorant yahoos are able to elect psychopaths to run the federal government.

The news media do their part to make sure there'll always be millions of misinformed or uninformed yahoos voting.

Just for the record, if Tax Freedom for Billionaires wasn't total shit, billionaires wouldn't need to spend all that dough on advertising to persuade us it's wonderful.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Mediacrity (sic)

Washington Monthly discusses the failure of the news media to cover the so-called precedent's (sic) Russian scandal as what it is. Fortunately, I don't depend exclusively on traditional media sources as I did in simpler times.

Media Mediocrity

The media made Trump possible by treating him like Princess Di and giving him billions of dollars worth of free television and print coverage during the GOP primary. Trump knew that all publicity is good publicity when you're only trying to persuade the kind of dipshits who think Duck Dynasty is real life, and he knew how to keep media people sniffing his asshole by giving them what amounted to a popular TV reality show.

So the American news media made Trump. Now they'll have a chance to destroy him. The motherfuckers owe us that much.

What goes around--

First, Ken Starr is forced out as president of Baylor University. Now Fox News is in turmoil over a sexual harassment scandal. And somewhere, Bill Clinton is smiling and enjoying a private chuckle or two.

More Manziel Madness

The Dallas Morning News is seeking to become the Newspaper of Record when it comes to publishing negative commentary slamming quarterback Johnny Manziel. They manage to find at least one article every single day. It's probably a coincidence that the DMN is also the biggest booster of Texas U in the state (other than the Austin American Statesman). And it's also no surprise that some of the criticism comes from sources in other SEC states, Tennessee for example.
