NOW they tell us-

For those who missed it, the Republican Party is a joke. The latest message coming from that sector is that Barry must be defeated to ensure America has the divided government it cherishes and to protect our system of checks and balances. For eight years, the GOP did everything it could to transform the United States into a low-rent version of a rightwing dictatorship. In their glory years (January 2001-December 2006), the last thing those bastards were interested in was giving the Dems a voice in anything, much less an opportunity to check or balance. Now, suddenly, when they're on the edge of the cliff, divided government is vital to the nation's future.

One lesson I've learned - when Republicans are whining about something the Democrats are doing, it's a sure bet they're doing or have done exactly the same thing themselves. American politics... not for those with weak stomachs.

  1. The two major parties have much more in common than differences. Consolidation of power is what they both crave so they can pay off the lobbyists and special interests that funded their campaigns.

Real campaign finance reform (not the joke McCain peddled to us in 2002) would put an end to this quid pro quo of our tax dollars to campaign contributors.
