Cheers for the Senator

There are a number of reasons to congratulate her this week, but giving Donnie Placenta another reason to soil himself makes Sen. Diane Feinstein a heroine in my book.

While we're on the subject, if Donnie Placenta is as brilliant and as innocent as he's claiming to be, he should have no misgivings about an interview with Robert Mueller, should he?

The latest Quinnipiac poll (released today) shows that 26 percent strongly approve of Donnie Placenta, while 53 percent strongly disapprove. So we-hate-his-guts is beating we love-the-guy by two-to-one. If that ever reaches 2.5 to 1, we're in business.

It seems like I remember a time when Republicans were elected to Congress, then became criminals. Now it looks like they're going to be convicted of crimes before they even run for office.

Update 5:56 PM 11 January:  More good news today for Donnie Placenta. Another Quinnipiac poll reports that a solid majority of voters (59 percent) believe Robert Mueller is conducting a fair investigation, and almost as many (56 percent) think Donnie's trying to interfere with it. Wait a minute. That probably isn't good news, considering how much effort Republicans are spending to crap all over Mueller.
