Yesterday, after the election of Mike Johnson as House speaker was official, liberal webpages were where Democrats went to stage their panic attacks, as if there weren't enough things already happening that mean the end of the world is near.

Personally, I think my mental and physical health is better when I try to remain optimistic - and that's why I welcomed an evaluation of the situation like the one at Daily Kos explaining that Johnson, a typical worthless MAGA shit smear, is probably a gift to Democrats.

PS added 12:41 PM: House MAGA Monkeys from districts carried by Joe in 2020 are already telling Johnson how the cow ate the cabbage and how things are gonna be.

To maintain an optimistic outlook on life, I spend some time each day thinking about a better America, in which huge popular majorities finally realize that MAGA means fascism and theocratic authoritarianism, and elect governments at both the federal and state level that respect and protect civil rights and freedom, social diversity, tolerance and inclusion, economic fairness, and other democratic ideals. This creates a national environment that MAGA Monkeys find unbearable, and many of them migrate each year to Russia and other nations that provide the fascist authoritarian leadership they desire.
