For reasons unknown, the DVR failed yesterday and the fifth public hearing wasn't recorded. The highlights were reviewed fairly thoroughly in a prime time panel discussion with Rachel, Lawrence, et al on MSNBC, so it wasn't a total loss. One of the highlights that got my attention concerned solicitation of preemptive presidential pardons by Matt (Tall Hair) Gaetz, Louie (Dingleberry) Gohmert, and probably Marjorrhea (Empty) Greene, among others.
The reversal of Roe v. Wade by six radical right-wingers on the USSC is now official. This may or may not be the first domino to fall in the Trumplickan movement to restore America's good old days when the interests of conservative christian white men were all that really mattered. Maybe we'll catch some luck and circumstances will force Slick Sammy Alito, Clearance Sale Thomas, and the Handmaid to vacate their seats on the court while a (D) president can replace them to create a 6-3 majority that works in America's favor for a change.
Another possibility is that the Select Committee hearings and terrible USSC decisions will have the combined effect of putting Hopalong Hairdo on the ballot (figuratively) in the midterm election, producing massive voter turnout that keeps Congress in (D) control.
Added 10:19 AM Saturday: Hopalong Hairdo gloating and claiming complete credit for every extremely unpopular recent Supreme Court decision is an impulse he cannot and will not resist. Keep it going, lard butt - keep reminding us why we hate you and your whole rotten party. (For the record, asshole, Moscow Mitch deserves more "credit" for this shit smear since HIS unadulterated evil made it possible to add Gorsucks and the Handmaiden).
It probably also helped Democrats when Clearance Sale confirmed that contraception and homosexuals are next on his hit list, though interracial marriage isn't.
