On my list of things that are definitely good ideas: the armed services working out methods to screen out undesirables (right-wing extremists, like the January 6th insurrectionists) during the recruitment process.
On my list of things I won't waste 3 seconds of precious life worrying about: the fact that insurrectionists arrested and jailed are experiencing the shock of their lifetimes.
On my list of things that didn't used to be totally predictable but are now: Texas RepubliQAns pushing the idea of secession every time a Democrat is elected president.
@ Daily Kos: After four years of a so-called precedency (sic) that was actually a poorly-executed TV reality show performed by a large cast of worthless scumbags, the RepubliQAns are no longer a traditional political party, but a lifestyle brand that appeals to a particular segment of the population, who want to be entertained more than they want productive government. The question is whether this segment will expand or contract as we attain more separation from the former guy. Can the reality show be renewed with a cast of lesser performers?
More @ Daily Kos: In coming years, the United States will probably be spending billions on hospital care for those assholes who are refusing the COVID vaccinations today, much of which will be paid by people who will have been vaccinated.
