Q Notes, Day 134

Sifting through the headlines, it appears the theme for this afternoon's discussion will be Epic Fail, as it pertains to the GOP leadership in particular.

I hope all those working people who are about to get shafted again will be around to vote in November, and will remember who shafted them this summer. It's amazing to me that the (R)s in Congress can always find ways to approve billions of tax dollars for big businesses and the people who own them, but only a tiny sliver of that amount for the laboring class.

Any time the (R)s introduce one of their bright ideas, it's obvious they haven't thought it through. I had a lot of experience with that problem when I worked in the state bureaucracy years ago. Is it time to kiss the U.S. economy goodbye yet?

Maybe the congressional (R) people will soon grasp the reality that if they gang up on Cheezy, he'll crumble.

Looking at maps that show projected Electoral College results is more fun now than it used to be.

All those who honestly believe Cheezy will suddenly become a paragon of efficiency and competence in August and have America moving strongly toward full economic recovery by October, please raise your hands. And keep them up while we take down names, addresses and phone numbers.

If you want results, elect Democrats. If you want an endless clusterfuck, Republicans are the choice.
