Odds and ends on Good Friday

Some people who work for a living will get a long weekend thanks to Easter. The school teachers in my family get today off, for example. One of the things I liked about being a government employee was getting paid vacations on state and federal holidays. It compensated a little for the fact that public sector salaries were typically smaller than those in the private sector.

Here's a serious thought: Has Donnie Hump done anything as so-called precedent (sic) that convinces you he ISN'T working for Vladimir Putin?

Here's another one: It would make me extremely happy to see Mitch McConnell's political career destroyed because he was exposed in the Russia scandal.

If some supreme being wanted to make this a better country, he/she could start by making every member of the House Freedom (sic) Caucus disappear, especially Meadows and Jordan.

I often wonder if there is some way that Twitter could be persuaded to permanently lock out the orange stool sample.

Depending on who's defending him, the orange stool sample has been totally exonerated, or he was framed by his enemies, or he did it but it wasn't a crime, or he never did it and they're lying. No wonder Republican voters wander around in a state of total confusion.

Devin Nunes tells the zombie army that if they ignore it, it'll go away. I don't think it's going away. Personally, I hope the House committees make it clear that hearings will continue, and impeachment stays on the table as an option throughout the process. Something tells me the public will show more interest in removing the stool sample from the White House if they can watch hearings on their TV sets. Unfortunately, for many Americans, things don't become real until they see them on a screen.

Don't bother trying to convince me that most Republicans aren't as rotten as the orange stool sample and the people he brought into this so-called administration. When I see at least 27 Republicans in the Senate backing impeachment, I may begin to reconsider, but not before then.
