Process Fouls and Related News

Another item on my wish-list of Things I Hope I'll See in the next two years: Devin Nunes and Mitch McConnell indicted and convicted for their participation in the conspiracy with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

Let the record show that William Jefferson Clinton was impeached for committing process fouls, as Nunes calls them.

We have additional confirmation that the United Status simply cannot afford The Motherfucker. Millions wasted on golf weekends, meaningless Tomahawk missile strikes, government shutdowns over border wall fantasies... a million here, a billion there, and pretty soon we're talking about serious money.

Kos: Senate Republicans who don't want to be dragged into the weeds by Donald need to think of ways to get some separation from him. They're going to be tested again and again.

Hullabaloo: The pros and cons of an independent run in 2020 by that Starbucks guy? After seeing the damage Ralph Nader caused in 2000 and Jill Stein caused in 2016, I'm firmly opposed to the whole "third party candidate" concept, so there are no pros to the Starbucks guy, or the Green Party, or anyone else who can split the anti-Donald vote. No pros at all, but many, many cons.

The two most recent Republicans in the White House lost the popular vote, but were able to win the EC by squeezing out smaller vote margins in Florida and New Hampshire (in 2000) and Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania (in 2016) than the Green Party vote totals in those states. Nader (2000) and Stein (2016) both based their campaigns on a premise that the Democratic Party nominees were as bad or worse than the GOP nominees. Were they nuts? Bush 43 was The Worst President Ever until Donny 45 came along to claim that distinction (probably permanently).

It isn't the first rule in the GOP Handbook, but it damned well should be: Never criticize any Democrat's personal appearance if you yourself look like something that dropped out of a pig's asshole, or was vomited up by a dying dog.
