Just read a good column in the Dallas newspaper by Carl Leubsdorf about the Texas voter ID law, recently found to have discriminatory effects.
I'm positive that a voter ID law that didn't create any obstacle for any voter at any time would never have been challenged in the first place. Makes me wonder why the legislature didn't pass a law like that.
