As recently as three months ago, conservative Republicans stood their ground and defended their principles. If you didn't like what they thought, conservative Republicans didn't gave a damn. They'd cram their ideas down your throat, or at least try to.
Now they want to elect Methane Mitt, the Multiple Man, who campaigned in the GOP primaries as the most conservative candidate on the stage. True conservatives like Gingrich and Santorum knew he was a gutless POS and tried to expose him, but it didn't work.
If I thought Methane Mitt was sincerely preparing to govern as the Moderate Massachusetts Mormon he now pretends to be, that would be one thing. But when the guy takes 2-3 different positions on an issue THE SAME DAY, I know the first time a pimp like Grover Norquist bitch-slaps him around, Willard will melt like Jello.
Fortunately, the swing state polls are showing this may all be academic:
