Almost exactly four years ago, Republicans were strutting around and crowing like roosters. Sarah Palin, selected as Johnny Ace's running mate, was the new face of the GOP and the party's future. Now she can't even swing an invitation to make a speech at the GOP national convention. Talk about short shelf life.
