Squealing

I'm reminded of the old expression: Twist a pig's ear and listen to him squeal.

After a lunatic in Arizona shot a congresswoman and killed a bunch of people, there was some commentary to the effect that vitriol in political discourse these days may have contributed to an environment in which people who aren't wired together very tightly anyway decide it's okay to vent their political frustrations by spraying handgun fire. Over the past twenty years or so, I've listened to enough AM talk radio to know that most of the programs are designed to keep conservative voters whipped into a frenzy of rage and hatred, so I understand the point. At any rate, the pigs have had their ears twisted and now they're squealing their heads off.
