At least once a week I need to go to Walmart to get a few things I can buy only there. It's a short drive, ten minutes or so, and I use the time to dip my toes into the toxic waste dump of AM radio, just to hear what's being rehashed by Limbaugh or Hannity (as if I didn't know).
This morning, Limbaugh was on a serious blood-boiling rant about Obama and the health care reform bill. Did you know that the bill, if it passes, will literally destroy the country as we've known it ? I did NOT know that. Someday that lardass will blow a gasket (wishful thinking). As far as Limbaugh Nation is concerned, I must report that revolution is in the air. As I drove home, Limbaugh took a call from a guy claiming to be a small business owner in St. Louis. This dude is apparently involved in window manufacturing, and he has THE solution to the problem. Every small business owner in America should immediately lay off fifty percent of their workforce. This would shrink tax revenues, overload the unemployment compensation system, and send the message in NO uncertain terms that small business owners run the country, and the people in congress work for them, not the other way around.
This idea is so simple, I'm amazed no one has already thought of it. Plus, it has the advantage of being foolproof --- no risk of unintended consequences. I know if I ever need storm windows, I'm calling the guy who thought this up.
You say you want a revolution ? Find a conservative radio listener.
