Wow -- forty whole percent ?

This Gallup poll is being discussed on the internet as further evidence that Republicans are once again ascending, and will soon crush the N and his socialist followers under the mighty boots of their righteousness. The way I see it, forty percent of Americans are conservative, and 56 percent are either moderate or liberal. The GOP, under the direction of Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, and its other icons, has decided that, like Amelia Earhart, it needs to lighten its load --- by throwing out all its moderate dead weight. The way I see the math, that looks like Republicans are choosing to be a permanent minority, 56-40. Way to go, motherfuckers.

It makes me nostalgic for the fall of 2008, when every report on the cable news channels began with, "More great news for John McCain today..."
