Last night, I got an e-mail from my best bro reacting to the post immediately below. As a matter of clarification, I'm not endorsing McCain, aka Walnuts, for the office of president. My personal preference would be any of the Dems, even Edwards, who's no longer running. But things being what they are, I don't see any scenario in which Hillary, Barack, or Edwards can get within sniffing distance of a win in November.
Because all political discussion on this blog is predicated on the assumption the Dems will lose, I'm thinking Walnuts would offer the most long-term entertainment value; every single day he spent in the Oval Office would rub raw spots and bleeding sores on the worthless hides of dipshits like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter, not to mention right-wing trash whose names aren't as familiar. It's the concept of schadenfreude that I discussed long ago: deriving satisfaction from the misery of others.
The thought of Willard as prez is like the thought of Rick Perry as a roommate: Absolutely intolerable. Hucklebuck ? Needs to be back in the pulpit at some little Baptist church in the Ozarks. Ron Paul ? Not enough neeners voting to get him nominated. Like my bro asked, is this the best America can do ? Will Michael Bloomberg ride to our rescue at the last minute, or are we just pissin' in the wind ?
