This weekend, Hucklebuck was at an event near Navasota with his very best buddy, Chuck Norris. There's a story about it in the Houston paper. I know something about Navasota, having spent part of my career there. It's not exactly the cultural pivot-point of the universe, if you get my drift.
Someday, hopefully not during my lifetime, young people will gather around and talk about the incredible freedom that Americans once enjoyed, before the theocracy. They'll shake their heads in wonder when they think about the stuff people used to get away with. Maybe they'll decide that life is better in evangelunical America, never having known anything different. I wonder how people in Afghanistan felt about the Taliban.
Hucklebuck may be a nice guy and his weight loss is admirable, but the sooner he's shoved back into obscurity the better I'll like it.
I couldn't agree more:)
ReplyDeleteyou just saved my day...i was already getting scared that americans in general might not even notice the difference between a theocracy and a democracy...so thanx for rising my spirits :)
ReplyDeleteNavasota is like the retarded step-child of Texas. And I loved your comment about theocracy.
