Reversal

Wouldn't it be weird if Donny Johnny really did experience a revelation, and suddenly understood that if he truly wanted to be loved by most Americans, he'd need to stop being a total asshole and start doing all kinds of things that would make him lovable. And wouldn't it be even weirder if his job approval started climbing because he was working hand-in-hand with the Democrats in Congress? Wouldn't it be funny if Donny did a complete 180 and passed Mitch and the rest of the GOP while he was on his way to the center and they were speeding along in the opposite direction, on their way to join him where they were expecting him to be?

This fantasy assumes that

• Donny Johnny has the innate ability to completely transform himself from a lazy, incompetent sociopath, and 
• is willing to give up the pep rallies and corrupt profiteering.

So we know it'll never really happen, but it's still mildly amusing to think about.
