Former Senator Chuck Hagel is one of a dwindling number of tolerable Republicans. You could probably write the names of most of them on a matchbook cover. Obama has nominated this sensible Republican to head the Defense Department, which means regular Republicans (the worthless asshole kind) now hate Hagel's guts.
